Liebe Musikfreunde, am kommenden Wochenende spielt das kleine Hiphop-Orchester Pilotfilm bei Gravis Live-Tunes. Pilotfilm wird wie gewohnt als üppig ausgestattete Live-Besetzung auftreten und hat diesmal wieder Verstärkung am Mic dabei. Mit dabei sind diesmal RawBird von I-Fire, Laas Unltd und DW. From our show at the Kukuun we got our first little nugget online. It’s one track we are celebratin on with RawBird, our good friend from I-Fire. As we always enjoy to play with him live we had to kick a little somethin with him at the Kukuun, so we be singin Dabadubade again..

In the summer break i had the chance to take a flight to the city with no king and witness Blu and some other artists at Tate Modern. From 23rd of may til 25th of august there is a big street art exhibition at Tate Modern. Although i can’t see how art can be street anymore being in this impressive gallery the big pieces by Os Gêmeos, JR and Blu we´re quite impressive. The other day I got this link from a friend. I just came back from buying my new mpd32 and he said, as I´m into beats i should check out this link, cause you can play around online - building beats. In fact the thing is very nice to play around a little on some related machines such as the TR-808, TR-909, adding a bassline from a TR-303 related machine and routing all that thru some pedals. It’s really what you make of it. After looking thru the main site I found out it’s part of a “online entertainment and rich media-publishing platform”. It´s called hobnox. It´s finishing time. We are working on getting the package done. Working on the design together was always flashy. Dj Puh aka Danger D blessed us with a classy design and gave Pilotfilm a new look to step back in the game. Always watch out for the jiggy yellow. Read more

The mastering of the record “Built from Sessions” is done. It´s a nice thing to hear your music as loud as it can get from 32″ speakers. It took some days and nights to get the sound we wanted to have for this collection of the live beats. At the end we´re all pretty satisfied and glad we brought this project to an end. The mixing of the record “Built from Sessions” is thru. By making a record you can not only spend all your weekends and evenings for months insinde - you can also listen to 16 songs over and over and over again.
